Viking · Constantinople → Athens
A voyage through the cradle of civilization — and a small thank‑you, planned with love for the people making it happen.
A note before we set sail
"Thanks so much, Grandpa. These are some of the coolest places anywhere, and all of us are so excited to spend Christmas doing this. We're going to make it a great trip — and appreciate every second of it."
With love,
Shawn, Erica & Andrew

Voyage at a glance
Six Chapters
Each chapter gets its own deep guide — sights, history, food, and tours. Constantinople runs deepest so far; the others grow richer as the trip nears.
Four days where Europe meets Asia — the AJWA, Hagia Sophia, Topkapı, the Bosphorus.
The legendary city of myth — and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
One of the best-preserved ancient cities anywhere — the Library of Celsus awaits.
The Street of the Knights and the medieval Palace of the Grand Master.
Arkadi Monastery, Rethymnon's old town, and Minoan roots.
The grand finale — the Acropolis, Plaka, and a festive winter city. Explore the draft.
Your floating home
We sail aboard one of Viking's award‑winning ocean ships — an all‑veranda small ship carrying just 930 guests, purpose‑built to slip into harbors the megaships can't reach. Adults only, no casino, no crowds: understated Scandinavian calm, floor‑to‑ceiling views, and the Aegean right outside every room. Fittingly, she takes her name from Neptune, Roman god of the sea — a fair omen for eight days on the water.
Confirmed for our December 22 sailing. Like every Viking ocean ship, Neptune is one of a fleet of identical sisters — so every detail here holds.
